Late Night at The Blue Room: March 20th, 2012

Last week’s show was interesting. Tons of technical difficulties and brain farts. But sometimes things just have to go wrong to make sure the show goes right. So thanks for putting up with that. I’m posting a little late so I’ll make this quick.

Last week’s headliner was Dave Brubeck Quartet

Dave Brubeck practically wrong the book on strange time signatures in jazz thanks to his string of time oriented albums with his Quartet. If you are tired of listening to straight 4/4 all the time, check out some Dave Brubeck. Not to mention he was a great arranger/orchestrator because every instrument is placed in all the right spots.

Here’s some tunes to check out: “Kathy’s Waltz” from Time Out & “40 Days” from Time In

Tune in tonight at 9 for more jazz and blues fun!
