Iskald, which translates to “ice-cold” in English, was formed in 2005 and have been releasing pretty solid metal ever since. Lots of “second wave” black metal influence is evident with lots of tremolo riffing and shrieked wailing vocals at a mid-to-frantic pace with plenty of atmospheric keyboard elements to give the whole work a cold yet complete feel.

New on the Metal Stream: Fractal Reality – A Plague for the Eternity

Formed in 2012, after the disbanding of Akhenaten, Fractal Reality is a five piece band who play a cool style of death metal that has the guitars serve as a humming/buzzing background, very tight blast beat drumming, and growling-screaming vocals.

Genre: Melodic Death Metal

Self released on January 9th, 2014

Formed in 2009 under the name Exorbitance, these New Jersey metallers changed their name in 2013 and have released their first album under the new moniker. There is quite a bit of influence from the Gothenburg sound, on this album, with wailing , chunky guitars, and wailing vocals
